Italian owner of restaurant Remo's Ristorante where other characters usually have dinner or spend time. Remo's Ristorante was mentioned in Richard's love letter to Caroline which later was used by Annie's sister to write song Meet me at Remo's.

On June 19th, 2026 the director James Burrows, died aged 85. During his long career he won 11 Primetime Emmy Awards and five Directors Guild of America Awards. Apart from directing 21 episodes of Caroline in the City, he was co-creator of Cheers and directed several well-known sitcoms (Taxi, Friends, Wings, Will & Grace, Mike & Molly, Frasier).
